Finally I have started a blog!

I have been wanting to start a blog for so long but, I just haven't got around to actually doing it. So let's hope I can figure this whole thing out and keep our friends and family updated!

Anniston arrived Febuary 1st I wasn't due until the tenth but , at my last three appointment's I had really high blood pressure and I had not been feeling very well either . My doctor told me to come in after the weekend and if I still had high blood pressure then I would need to be induced. Sure enough my blood pressure was very high so he sent me straight to the hospital. They induced me and broke my water and when I was fully dialated and had been pushing for about 2 hours nothing was happening. That is when my doctor told me that he thought I needed to have a c-section and that was most likely the only way she was coming out.. The doctor's told me the day in the hospital that they assumed she was 8 or 9 pds . They were wrong she was only 6lb.s 7.0z and 18.5 in . She was very healthy and we are very blessed to have her in our life's!!

This should have been my first post!

I was so tired but, so excited to hold my baby girl!

It made me laugh she was already sucking on her finger.
She must have been hungry :)

                                                     So much hair!!

Getting ready for to go get my c-section and meet our
                                                           baby girl!

Proud Daddy!

I never thought our baby would have this much
hair she got it from her daddy!

The doctors told me she would be at least 8 or 9 pd.s they were wrong
Anniston was 6pds 7oz. So tiny!

I should have posted these picture's a long time ago but I guess I was not thinking!  Looking at these pictures is just crazy to see how much Anniston has grown! She is almost four months . Time goes by so quickly.... Cherish every moment!!!

Daddy's Little GIrl!

DADDY'S LITTLE ANGEL
Author: © Jason A. Hodges

When you were born you filled my heart with pride,

And I was overcome by the joy I felt inside.

As I held you in my arms that very first day,

I knew I would never let any harm come your way.

With your tiny little hands and tiny little feet,

Everytime I look at you my heart skips a beat.

As I watch you sleep in the middle of the night,

I hope and pray I will do everything right.

I know I may make some mistakes along the way,

But I promise to do my best not to every single day.

I often wonder what you will grow up to be,

But whatever you become will be fine with me.

So whatever you may decide to do in your life,

Maybe an astronaut, a lawyer, or even a doctor's wife.

I can say this without any doubt at all,

I will always be there to catch you if you fall.

And another promise I make to you from me,

Daddy's little angel you will always be

At the hospital.
She Love's falling asleep with her daddy!
The best dad ever!

One of Jake's favorite hobbie's!

Not a big fan of this picture and me sticking the gut I have out even more LOL!!
Oh well I hope it will be gone here shortly!
Jake and my favorite gun to shoot. His 22/2-50 I am not sure how to write it out
haha!
I should have brought a pad for my bum LOL!!

Jake shooting his new gun. I stole his ear protector things so he had to shove tissue in his ear's haha . What a good husband
to let me use them!!

Sunday Jake and I went out to West Mountain to shoot Jake's new hand gun ( I can't remember the name of it LOL) and a few of some of the other one's he has . Don't worry we didn't take Anniston . She is a little to small to go and do things like that! So we left her at Grandma & Grandpa Hatfield's! I had alot of fun shooting a few of Jake's guns and was surprised I could hit small target's that were kinda far away haha!! I think Jake may have been to sense I have not been out to shoot guns very much just a few times! I have my hunter's safety permit and drew out for the deer hunt a couple years ago but, I just didn't have the courage to go shoot an animal . I think they are much prettier alive. I will leave the hunting up to Jake that is his hobby . I think animals are much prettier alive and not mounted on my wall!!!! It was nice to get out and do something different and Jake was pretty excited to go shoot his new gun!

I already had acrylic nails on and she hand painted the zebra stripes on I love it!!!

You can't really see the design all that well but it is soo cute and she does it all by hand!

I went and got my toe's and nails hand painted with the coolest designs, There is this girl in Santaquin at the Urban Bette Salon that does them. I love them it was part of my mother's day present! I was quite proud of them so I have to show them off!!! I love getting different stuff done and being different. So I was pretty excited about it!!! :)

In Loving Memory

I relate poetry and music to alot of events that occur in my life and I stumbled upon this poem the other day and it just reminded me of someone very special to me that I will always miss and love so I thought I would share ...

TO ALL PARENTS

I'll lend you for a little time a child of mine, He said, For you to love the while she lives and mourn for when she's dead.
It may be six or seven years, or twenty-two or three,But will you, till I call her back, take care of her for me?

She'll bring her charms to gladden you, and shall her stay
be breif,
You'll have her lovely memories as solace for your greif ,
I cannot promise she will stay, since all from Earth return,
But there are lessons taught down there, I want this child
to learn.

I've looked the wide world over in my search for teachers
true,
And from the the throngs that crowd life's lanes, I have
selected you.

Now will you give her all your love nor think the labor
vain,
Nor hate me when I come to call to take her back again?

I fancied that I heard them say, Dear Lord, They will be
done!
For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we'll
run.
We'll shelter her with tenderness, we'll love her while we
may,
And for the happiness we've known forever grateful stay;
But shall the angels call for her much sooner than we've
planned,
We'll brave the bitter greif that comes and try to under-
stand.

I need to keep updating more often!

I haven't updated my blog sense I started it so I decided I shall start to update it more frequently! It has taken me a little while to get this whole blog thing figured out I am a little slow ha ha!! Anyhow we are all doing well just wishing summer would arrive so we could go on walks and be outside more. I feel like a hermit during the day's cause it is to cold to just go sit outside with Anniston . So I am hoping the weather gets better soon! We have all had colds in our house probably because of the weather . I have been trying everything I can for Anniston and her poor little stuffy nose . I have been trying the baby saline drops and we put a humidifier in her room every night and this morning I tried filling the bathroom with steam and standing in there for a minute. So I hope she gets feeling better soon poor thing. If anyone has any suggestions let me know :)

Before I was A Mom

Before I was a mom
I made and ate hot meals.I had unstained clothing.
I had quiet conversations on the phone.

Before I was a mom.
I slept as late as I wanted
And never worried about how late I got into bed.
I brushed my hair and teeth everyday.

Before I was a mom
I cleaned my house each day .
I never tripped over toys or forgot words
of lullabies.

Before I was a mom
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a mom
I had never been puked on,
pooped on
spit on
chewed on
peed on
or pinched by tiny fingers
Before I was a mom
I had complete control of:
My thoughts
My body
And my mind
I slept all night

Before I was a mom
I never held down a screaming child so that the doctors could do tests or give shots
.I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy about a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put it down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces.
When I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew I would love being a mom.

Before I was a mom
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every ten minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth
The joy, The love
The heartache
The wonder
Or the satisfaction of being a mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much before I was a mom.

Easter

We had such a great Easter this year! Holiday's are so much funner when you have a child to celebrate them with even if Anniston didn't know what was going on and why she was surrounded by giant easter bunnies :) !! We started the day by going up to visit Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Shambre Wall. We had a huge yummy dinner there and they spoiled Anniston with lot's of cute clothes! Then we headed to Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Soleena Hatfield's house . They got Anniston the cutest Easter baskets full of lot's of fun stuff!! We are so thankful that she has such great grandparent's and aunt's on both sides of the family that love her so much!

Wendover

For my 23rd birthday Jake and I went to Wendover . We had a suite with a big jacuzzi it was super nice. We had such a good time! It was hard to leave Anniston though I don't think we could have for left her for more than one night though....
