The Trouble Tree

The carpenter I hired to help me restore my old my old farmhouse had just finished a rough first day on the job. A flat tire made him loose an hour of work , his electric saw quit and now his ancient pickup truck refused to start. While I drove home, he sat in stony silence. On arriving, he invited me in to meet his family. As we walked toward the front door, he paused briefly at a small tree, touching  the tips of the branches with both hands. When opening the door, he underwent an amazing transformation. His tanned faced was
wreathed in smiles and he hugged his two small children and gave his wife a kiss. Afterword he walked me to the car. We passed the tree and my curiosity got the better of me. I asked him about what I had seen him do earlier.


"Oh" that's my trouble tree," he replied, "I know I can' help having troubles on the job.
but one thing for sure trouble's don't belong in the house with my wife and the children. So I just hang them up on the tree every night when I come home. then in the morning I pick them up again.
Funny thing is,"he smiled", when I come out in the morning to pick 'em up, there ain't nearly as many as I remember hanging up the night before."

Growing up to fast!!

We cannot believe how much our little baby girl has grown! It is so crazy to think that not before long she will be walking and getting into everything! It is crazy how time fly's . I don't even want to think about her dating haha and well I know whoever does come over that Jake will be quizing  them and want to know everything and maybe even be on our porch greeting her date with a shotgun! Hahaha! It feels like not very long ago we were bringing her home from the hospital and she fit so perfectly in our arm's .Everyday she seem's to be doing more and more on her own.. I was looking at her newborn pics the other day and started tearing up she is growing up to fast!!!

It's been tooo long!

Wow! I haven't been on here forever! Life has been a little crazy and hectic! Where should I start off? Halloween!?! OK .. usually for  Halloween Jake and I stay home and answer the door but, this year we had a little one to celebrate it with!! I was so excited to get her costume! I ordered a ladybug costume for Anniston but, it never came and so about a week before Halloween it still had not arrived so we had to find another one. I decided she should be a baby lamb! She looked so cute! We took her to Jake's parents and his grandparent's and a few other's who live in Wallsburg (where Jake is from) Then we headed to my grandparent's and they were surprised to see us. After we went there we went to Grandma and Grandpa Hatfield's! Anniston was such a great sport and didn't try to pull her hat off!We just can't wait for Christmas !!!

Anniston's Blessing

Anniston was baptised July 9th 2010. We had the baptism at my parent's house . Jake and I thought that it would be easier and less stressful that way . It turned out great!! My dad blessed Anniston and did such an amazing job ! Our bishop and my Grandpa Lowe stood in the circle also . It was such a great day and went so well. We served some yummy food and my Mother in-law made some awesome chicken salad croissant's that everyone loved!! These picture's I have on here are not the greatest . I forgot my camera because I was in a hurry to get to my parent's and set up all the food etc. Luckily my Mother and Sister in law had their camera's . So when I get those picture's I will have to post them also!

Been quite a while...

I haven't updated my blog for quite some time and decided perhaps I should! Anniston turned 26weeks yesterday Monday 2 , 2010 . It is crazy how time flys by in 6 months she will be one . How insane time goes by waaaayyy to fast! She is such a good baby and alway's sleep's thru the night and has her schedule down. She is amazing!
     I was supposed to start nail school Aug 3rd haha today but, I had to postpone school for a few month's because I have not been feeling very well. I am now starting to feel so much better thank goodness. I was getting worried there for a minute! I can't wait to start and be done and start doing nail's in my home. So I am sorry to my friend's who were expecting me to be able to do their nail's soon! It wont be to much longer.
     Summer has been great we haven't gotten to do to much recently because of me being sick but I am hoping now we can catch up and get a few fun activities in before the weather get's cold. I am hoping to get in at least one camping trip !!! Hopefully ride my horse's sense I didn't get to last summer cause I was pregnant . I also didn't get to do any fourwheeling and I am going crazy cause that is one of Jake and I's favorite thing's to do!! Well that about sums thing's up!! Here is some recent pics!!

My new hobby

I decided recently that I wanted to make some extra money so I thought I would start making bow board's. They can also be used to put picture's on or to hang reminders cause if you are like me you forget stuff unless you write it down on a post it and stick it somewhere! I got a offer from a craft boutique and they want to sell my bow boards in their store for me .  I sell them to anyone who wants them to not just the craft store. I am really excited and have already sold a few. I make custom one's also to match bedrooms , bathrooms or wherever. To bad the money can't go towards a vacation or something fun and has to go towards nail school oh well it will be worth it! I have been so busy trying to do everything and fit in time to make the bow board's so most night's I am up quite late making them! I enjoy doing it though so that is all that matters!

If Tomorrow Never Comes


If I knew it would be the last time that I'd see you fall asleep,

This poem reminded me of Jake for some reason and how much I love him and not to ever take each other for granted. I love you Jake thank you for everything you do for Anniston and I. I don't know what I would do without you . You are such a wonderful husband and father. Love you!

Well, well

I don't know quite what to title this entry... The last little while alot has changed in my life for the better. I have set new goals for myself and am working very hard to follow them! One of my goals was to enroll in school and I completed that goal YAY!! I am excited , but nervous at the same time . The school's rule's are very very strict , but I know I will be fine! Also another one of my goals was to loose weight and that is going very well!!I have lost about 33 pounds sense April!  I want to loose at least another  30 pounds more and I will be extremely happy with myself. I will need to post before and after picture's!
        I have been keeping myself very occupied lately with many many project's! I am working on finishing decorating Anniston's room and also working on starting to decorate our room. We got it all painted and it looks awesome! I have started to make and sell bow board's! So if anyone is interested let me know. I will soon post pics of those also! Life is going great! Lot's of goal's to keep me busy. I hope I can still sneak in time for to ride horses and go camping when I start school my schedule will be CRAZY!!!  Thank you to my wonderful family and friend's to support me thank you to all of you who have been so supportive love you all!!!

Just recently a very close family friend passed away.  I have known him sense I was a little girl. He was one of the funniest guy's that I have ever met and he never failed to put a smile on my face. He would always come into my dad's shop and right when he walked in the door's we all knew he was there even if we were in the back of the shop!! My dad's shop will be so much different without him there.  It will definitely be alot quieter . We will miss his joke's and his stories he always had to tell. He always had some kind of project he was up to . He was very talented . He had a talent for restoring antique car's . We will miss him so much!We love you M.J ...

Nail School For Me !

I have decided to go to nail school . They only teach nail's there I will be accredited/certifed in everything   from  pedicure's to  manicure's , gel nails ,  acrylic nail's, nail art ,  glitter toes. Pretty much everything I am really excited . I am hoping to start by August and open up a business in my home . I know it will take a while to get a clientele but, once I do it will be worth it!!! So just so you all know in about six months or so I will be doing nails and my price's will be alot cheaper then other salon's! So keep me in mind when you want to get you nail's or toes done !!!! Wish me luck !

We didn't much for Memorial Day . Jake had to work half-day .  But later on in the day we ended up going to the cemetery to decorate my sister's headstone. I cleaned it all off .  Then we put some decoration's on it . I  made a really cute decoration to put on it . I was surprised how well it turned out sense I am not very crafty ha ha ! I painted it and did a bunch of other stuff to it .I never thought I could make a piece of plain wood with flower's on it look cute :) ... But it was for a special occasion.  I went all out to make it special! We bought a couple other thing's to go with it too. We got a butterfly wind chime and then a little teeny flower pot with some bright fake flowers in it  and I sprayed some glitter on it to make it look extra cute! Everyone always buys flowers and I wanted to do something different! We took some pictures with Anniston next to the headstone and it meant so much to me that we were able to do that . Anniston's middle name is Haylee after my sister Haylee who passed away .  So her middle name has a very special  meaning behind it and  is after a very special person who will be in our heart's forever ...

       I should have posted these picture's a long time ago but I guess I was not thinking!  Looking at these pictures is just crazy to see how much Anniston has grown! She is almost four months . Time goes by so quickly.... Cherish every moment!!!
